Therapeutic effect
Releives motion sickness; dizziness, nausea, vomiting and cold sweating. Anti inflammatory, provides relief from joint pain from various forms of arthritis. Useful for inner ear dizzyness.
Indications
Motion sickness and joint pain.
Contraindications
Pregnancy (may be harmful at high doses, i.e., greater than 1-2 grams per day), bleeding disorders such as post-surgical or post-chemotherapy, in cases of gallstones (may cause passage of stones).
Side effects
Heartburn. CNS depression and cardiac arrythmias associated with large doses of oil extract.
Drug interations
None known
Therapeutic dose
1 gram per day of the root.
